Welcome back to our class blog! Our first two weeks back have been full of learning!
P.E - Our P.E topics this half term are dance and gymnastics. We have been developing stepping into star jumps and making sure we land with knees bent. This took a few tries but we can now all do this! In dance, we have been coming up with dance routines by imitating machinery.
English - We have started looking at fairy tales this half term! We started by reading Little Red Riding Hood and thinking about character perspective. As a class, we wrote a paragraph from the eyes of the wolf. Next week, we are going to have a go at writing independently through the eyes of Little Red Riding Hood. We have also been learning about similes this week and are going to try our best to put some into our writing!
Maths - This half term, we are continuing our learning on multiplication and division. In these past two weeks, we have been learning to multiply 2-digit and 3-digit numbers by a 1-digit number using columns. Miss Hetherington was super impressed with our presentation in our books!
Computing - We have been learning about internet safety this week. We talked about what dangers there could be when online, such as someone pretending to be who they aren't, being hacked, fake news and the dangers of AI before creating a poster with rules to stay safe. We then split into groups to create our own podcasts! We played the roles of radio hosts, worried parents and internet experts.
