Jim Howard Artist | EDUCATOR | DESIGNER

With a passion for visual storytelling, I bring a wealth of experience and expertise to the world of graphic design. My proficiency spans 25 years—across print, web, and now UX/UI design, making me a versatile creative professional. Having honed my skills I have a deep understanding of design principles and a keen eye for detail. In the realm of print, I have crafted compelling visuals that not only capture attention but also convey the intended message effectively. On the digital front, my proficiency in web design ensures a seamless user experience, while my expertise in UX/UI design adds a human-centric touch to every project. From concept to execution, I am dedicated to delivering visually stunning and impactful designs that leave a lasting impression. Let's transform ideas into captivating visuals together.

Tröegs Brewing Company has become an excellent partner in my efforts to create and sell products and other merchandise for sale in both their retail and online store(s). With Tröegs, I'm proud to share the following products/projects: direct mail postcards, sticker packs, button backs, 'Sew your own' stocking kit, hand-sewn felt ornaments, bar towels, mini foeder cardboard cask, oven mitts, hot pads, and tea towels. I am so thankful to have Tröegs as a customer and a muse! I look forward to many more projects and products.

I created a series of infographics for York County Libraries. This series was used to help communicate the need for funding and assisted in communication between the development director and the board of directors. This work helped lead to several grants that brought in more money for even more programs.

Hershey Public Library (HPL) was an excellent client. I worked with their director to apply their brand to innumerable projects including business cards for all staff as well as a brochure/instructions for their youngest patrons in the creation of an activity booklet for Summer Reading Club.

York Day Early Learning asked for an annual report. I was happy to oblige. Doing projects like these really inspire me to help my community by using my skills to do pro-bono work like this. There are a few locol non-profits that I continue to service. Doing pro-bono work is always rewarding!

I am proud to have had the opportunity to contribute my skills and expertise through freelance work with CASA of Baltimore County over the years. I have collaborated on various projects and initiatives, supporting CASA's mission to advocate for the well-being of children in the foster care system. From multi-page booklets to email formatting, my commitment to making a positive impact on the lives of these children has been a driving force in my freelance journey. I value the meaningful work CASA does and am honored to have played a part in advancing their noble cause."
