Overview
The Salt Lake County Auxiliary Communication Team, also known as SLCo ACT, has been established and recognized by the State of Utah and the IRS as a 501(c)(3) organization.
The organization has three main focuses:
1) Supporting and enhancing communication during planned and unplanned events for public and private entities.
2) Maintaining and supporting communication hardware utilized by team members or the general Amateur Radio community.
3) Helping to facilitate training and enhancement of knowledge related to public safety communications, Amateur Radio and the overall support of public agencies communication needs.

CURRENT PROGRAMS
Repeater Fund
This program initiates a repeater fund with the express purpose of providing financial backing for the ongoing maintenance and upkeep of a network of Amateur Radio repeaters situated in the Salt Lake Valley. Notably, among these repeaters are the 146.700 and 448.450 repeaters, prominently positioned on Ensign Peak.
Planned Event Support
Our Planned Event Support program capitalizes on the distinctive qualifications and training of our dedicated team members. Throughout events, we serve as a pivotal conduit, facilitating seamless communication between public and private entities to guarantee a prompt response to incidents and activities.
Education & Training
The primary objective of the Education and Training program is to elevate the proficiency of communication resources through structured training exercises and continuous exposure to agency radio traffic. These initiatives are pivotal in maintaining a steadfast delivery of communication and adherence to appropriate operational protocols during events and incidents.
