Fifth graders practice journalism by interviewing kindergarteners for their upcoming Tiny Humans of OV newspaper.
Fifth graders from Room 112 are stepping into the world of journalism! As part of a lesson on interviewing and storytelling, students recently met with Mrs. Davis’s kindergarten class to practice asking thoughtful questions and taking good notes.
Their hard work will soon come to life in a brand-new student publication called Tiny Humans of OV -- a newspaper featuring the voices, stories, and perspectives of Otselic Valley’s youngest learners.
The fifth graders are excited to share their very first issue soon, capturing the charm and curiosity of their kindergarten interviewees while learning what it means to tell someone else’s story with care and creativity.
