Y6: Community fair volunteers - Option a Option b Many of the Year 6 students volunteered at the UDIS Community Fair to raise funds for UNHCR. Later, in an assembly, they acted as inspirational role models for taking action after learning about the struggles of child refugees around the world. They shared details of their projects and why they were motivated to take action - which resulted in them raising a total of 6,405 from their sales.
MY: Fieldtrip to Phu Khieo - Our MY students had a successful trip to the Phu Khieo Wildlife Sanctuary. They learned about the diversity of wildlife within the park and the park's history. They enjoyed a night safari, bird watching, hiking and identifying animals. As part of their service as action, all of the students contributed to the park by enriching the soil with salt to supplement the animals' diets.

Introducing Ms Sara in Year 3

I really love living in Thailand, but I do wish that I could have brought ‘Mac’ with me! He’s grumpy though and prefers cold Scottish beaches to warm Thailand ones! My most favourite food in the world (except Thai obviously) is tacos. I don’t have any musical talent, but I love music and used to work at musical festivals in the UK over the summer!

English: Verbs in instructions - Our learners in EAL have begun learning about using verbs in writing instructions. We write instructions for people who need to know how to do something. We have had different speaking and writing activities to help us understand sentence patterns and the new vocabulary that we have been learning.
