My Story
Hi I'm Jordan. I came to know Christ in college and grew in my faith through the Cru ministry at the University at Buffalo. I've decided to serve in full-time campus ministry to better reach our college students with the gospel of Jesus and train up confident disciples who are grounded in the truth of God's word and to be equipped for making disciples around the world.
"Go therefore, make disciples of all nations..." (Matthew 28:19)
The Need
College campuses are some of the most spiritually dark places in the country. You might describe the average college student today as emotionally hurt, philosophically lost, spiritually broken, ignorant of the bible and confused about their identity. While many students grew up in church, few know what it means to follow Jesus, let alone give a defense of their beliefs amidst a melting pot of worldviews being taught on campus. Hear what UB students have to say about life's most important questions below:
Discipleship
If we are to reach the campus, we must make mature disciples who are grounded in God's word and equipped to make more disciples (Hebrews 5:12-14; 2 Timothy 2:2). Over the past year God has brought a handful of young men into my path like Torsten, Jaden, Mason, Nate, Caleb, etc... I've had the privilege of helping these guys grow in understanding the gospel, developing a consistency in studying God's word, prayer life, walking by the Spirit, how to start spiritual conversations with others, and more...
Evangelism
God has left the door wide open as I continue to publicly share the gospel and engage with students in the heart of campus as well as equip other students and church members to do the same.
