The Summer of Research (9-20 June) was a two-week programme of events for our research community and beyond, celebrating the rich diversity of activity across Sussex, while allowing people to build new connections and open up fresh opportunities for conversation and collaboration. View the programme of events from the 2025 festival.

Dancing Belonging: Dancers pose together at the end of the Dancing Belonging event – the joy is evident from those smiles! Organised by Dr Maria Federica Moscati from the School of Law, Politics and Sociology, this ballet and jazz workshop was the last in a series of dance workshops as part of Maria’s research on Dance and the Law. The aim with the workshops is to support the wellbeing of students, staff and research, using the medium of dance to empower, include and unite.

Widening Access to Biomedical Technology in the Global South: A collaboration between Sussex Neuroscience and colleagues working in other Centres at Sussex, this event aimed to stimulate conversation around the free exchange of open source resources and how this movement could lead to improved healthcare for lower and middle income countries.

Ecoforensic is a non-profit Community Interest Company founded by University of Sussex Life Sciences academic, Professor Mika Peck.
