Pantomime Trip 2024

Dosbarth: Oren, Melyn, Gwyrdd, Glas, Porffor

As part of our Christmas celebrations the school has organised a trip to the pantomime to see Sleeping Beauty at Blackwood Miners’ Institute during the last week of term.

We will go on the afternoon of Tuesday 16/12/25. Buses will pick us up at 12pm so it will mean an early lunch. To accommodate this only children having school dinners will eat in the canteen that day (children bringing a packed lunch will eat in their classrooms).

We ask that the children wear school uniform (Christmas jumpers allowed). Please do not send sweets or spending money. The PTFA will be providing sweets and a drink for each child.

We are asking for a contribution of £11 per child. This includes entrance to the Pantomime and transport. However, if the school doesn’t receive enough money this trip and any future trips may not go ahead as the school’s budget for subsidising trips and transport is very limited. Your continued support is very much appreciated.

We understand that not everyone will want to go as you may have already made plans to see the pantomime separately or your child may not like pantomimes – this trip is not compulsory. Children not attending will still be welcome in school.

Please note that we are not insured for absences so if you have paid for the trip and your child becomes ill we cannot refund the cost (the theatre and bus company will not refund us).

To reserve your child's place please complete the reply slip sent home with your child this afternoon and return it with your payment in an envelope clearly marked with your child’s name, class and name of visit to the school office by Wednesday 10/12/25. Cheques should be made payable to Pontllanfraith Primary School.
