Hispanic Family Orientation By: Jazmin Raygoza Galvez and Isis Bryan

The first Hispanic Family Orientation was held Wednesday, September 18, in the Richland Northeast High School auditorium. During orientation, senior Dulce Calix and Assistant Principal Maribelle Robinson translated important information for the families, including the school rules, basic procedures and programs/clubs.

La primera orientación familiar hispana pasó el Miércoles, el 18 de Septiembre, en la sala de auditorio de Richland Northeast High School. Durante la orientación, Dulce Calix (senior) y subdirectora Maribelle Robinson traduceron información importante para las familias hispanas, Incluyendo las reglas de la escuela, procedimientos básicos y programas/clubes

They handed out sandwiches and water for the families. Tables were set up around the entrance to provide information about different programs and forms of community service

Student Government members organized the event. The event allowed Hispanic families to learn more about and feel included in the RNE community.

The school plans to create a group chat on WhatsApp for Hispanic families within the school so they can receive updates and keep up with activities and events.
