Luke's Online Portfolio Computer art 1 fall 2024

This is a image on an apple that was created through Corel Painter 2020. With this apple, I learned how to use Corel Painter for the first time and get a good feel of it for my future projects. My goal was to make a realistic apple. My apple makes me feel satisfied because there is nothing too special. I hope my audience is able to enjoy my picture of an apple.

I made an artwork that shows a hand reaching out towards an apple that is sitting in a pot. In this project, I learned how to use the Corel Painter app and its various tools. My goal for this artwork was to implement many of Corel Painter’s features while maintaining my own style of art. This makes me feel accomplished with my first experience of digital art. I hope the audience is given a satisfying experience with my art.

I created a piece of artwork intended to capture the western culture while bringing it to life through various patterns. In this experience, I learned how to apply seamless patterns into my artwork by using Corel Painter 2020. My goal was to implement my personal style and mix them with patterns into art that would represent a culture. This art made me feel as if I was able to unlock new ways to expand my creativity in the world of art. I hope my audience receives a delightful piece of art to look at.

I created a symmetrical image based on an owl with a simple color scheme. In this project I learned how to create symmetrical drawings. My goal was to use my artistic abilities to make a symmetrical owl with basic yet defining framing elements and fuse them with hatching patterns. This made me feel a sense of accomplishment as I was able to expand my skills in various ways. I hope the audience is able to see my creation and enjoy viewing it.

This creation is a forest scene that contains the elements of a spiral, fan, star and branch and combines them into an organic environment. I learned the uniqueness of watercolor and how to use it on a canvas in Corel Painter. My goal is to use watercolor to make a pleasant forest scene and give off a warm vibe of a sunset. I feel content with the results and enjoy its style. I hope my audience receives the same joy that I had when creating it.
