- I extend my appreciation to our students who have voted overwhelmingly to support last week’s Referendum to help maintain and enhance Rec Sports services. Rec Sports is an important part of our TAMIU experience. We will now seek approval from our governing Texas A&M University System Board of Regents at their February 2026 meeting.
- Kudos to all involved in the presentation of last Thursday’s Halloween Fest. Hundreds joined us for this popular event that is free for all. Thanks to TAMIU’s SOLE and Campus Activities Board for creating a broad spectrum of experiences including a haunted house, games, food, fun, a pumpkin patch, and Halloween costume contest. - Today’s a big day at TAMIU...Registration for Wintermester and Spring 2026 is now underway. Read about our staggered registration schedule and additional registration services.
- This Thursday marks another historic milestone for TAMIU. TAMIU’s School of Engineering hosts its Program Launch for our first graduate Engineering program, the Master of Science in Systems Engineering, scheduled to begin this Fall. It’s from 5 to 8 p.m. in the TAMIU Student Center Ballroom. Details here.
- Election Day voting is happening this Tuesday, Nov. 4 from 7 a.m. - 7 p.m. at the University Village.

- Monday-Tuesday, Nov. 10 – 11 – Shakespeare is coming back to campus with our TAMIU Shakespeare Mini Fest with Texas Shakespeare Festival performances here. Catch free, live theatre on campus with Monday’s “Shakespeare’s Greatest Hits” and Tuesday’s“Julius Caesar” at 7 p.m. in the CFPA Theatre. A special Friday, Nov. 14 panel discussion by the Borderlands Shakespeare Collectiva and free screening of the 1996 film “Romeo and Juliet,” is at the Alamo Drafthouse. Find out more here.
- Wednesday, Nov. 12– The IBC Bank and Commerce Bank 2025-2026 Keynote Speaker Series is at 6 p.m. in the TAMIU Student Center Ballroom and features Dr. Guadalupe Correa-Cabrera, professor in the Schar School of Policy and Government and co-director of the Terrorism, Transnational Crime and Corruption Center at George Mason University, presenting her lecture “U.S.–México Border Security Risks Today: A ‘New Generation’ of Criminal Networks.”
- Monday, Nov. 17 – Hear fellow students share what experiential learning (EL) means to them at the LEARN Expo from 3 – 4:30 p.m. at the Student Center Ballroom. Follow @txamiu social media to take part in an owl-themed scavenger hunt celebrating Earnie the Owl, the University’s QEP symbol, now available as a commemorative, collectible owl.
- Stop in at the CFPA for “Bloom,” an exhibition of the collaborative colorful works of artist Carlos Rosales-Silva with TAMIU Art students. You’ll be impressed.
- Engage yourself in this intriguing array of activities, events, and initiatives brought to you by TAMIU Colleges/Schools and Departments. Be part of the TAMIU Experience!

Registration for TAMIU’s Wintermester, Spring 2026 Semester Opens
Registration for Texas A&M International University’s (TAMIU) Wintermester and Spring 2026 courses began Monday, Nov. 3.
TAMIU currently operates on a staggered registration schedule as outlined below:
Monday, Nov. 3 – Tuesday, Nov. 4, 2025 – Graduate students, Seniors (90+ total earned credit hours), Honor students, Early College High School students, Texas Academy of International and STEM Studies students, Parenting students, Student-Athletes, Esports Athletes, Active-Duty students and Veterans.
Wednesday, Nov. 5, 2025 – Juniors (60 – 89 total earned credit hours), TRIO Program students and CAMP students.
Thursday, Nov. 6, 2025 – Registration opens for all students.

TAMIU Launches First Graduate Engineering Program: MS in Systems Engineering Begins Fall 2026
TAMIU has announced the launch of its first graduate engineering program, the Master of Science in Systems Engineering, scheduled to begin Fall 2026.
To commemorate this milestone, the TAMIU School of Engineering is hosting a Program Launch Event Thursday, November 6, 2025, from 5 to 8 p.m. in the TAMIU Student Center Ballroom.
TAMIU Presents Shakespeare-Themed Mini Festival with TSF Roadshow Nov. 10 - 14
The iconic words of world-renowned playwright William Shakespeare will come to life once again with live performances and a special film screening as part of TAMIU’s Shakespeare Mini Fest 2025. All events are free and open to the public.

TAMIU LEARN Expo Set for Nov. 17; ‘Owl-Themed’ Social Media Scavenger Hunt
Students at TAMIU will have an opportunity to share what experiential learning meant to them during the upcoming LEARN Expo happening Monday, Nov. 17 from 3 – 4:30 p.m. at the Student Center Ballroom. The event is free and open to the public.
In the days leading up to the Expo, @txamiu social media followers will have an opportunity to take part in an owl-themed scavenger hunt celebrating Earnie the Owl, the University’s symbol for the QEP. Students who attend the LEARN Expo may be eligible for their own commemorative, collectible owl.
