Ty Dewitt
My summer is spent running a tree company, this gives me the opportunity to shred most of the winter using snowmobiles and split boards. During the winter I teach avalanche education and guide for Powder Pro Lab. My highlights include competing at the Mammoth Challenge in the first ever American stop of the FWT. I advanced through 3 days of heavy competition and ended up 11th out of 139. My most prestigious podiums were 3rd place “Froth Puppy” award at Lovegames and a 1st and 2nd at the Crested Butte Extremes. I also spent 8 seasons in Valdez Alaska working for Tailgate Alaska and competing in the King of the Hill.

Filming is what makes me happy....His journey led him to the breathtaking mountains of Colorado back in 2007, and since then, there's been no turning back. The majority of our formative years were spent amidst the Rockies, capturing the essence of snowboarding and the splendid life that accompanies it. This immersive experience ignited a profound passion for filmmaking within us. It served as a crucible, teaching us the invaluable lessons of hard work and the artistry involved in creating something truly extraordinary. Fast forward to today, and our dedication to filmmaking has multiplied tenfold. Our vision has crystallized, and we now harbor a profound desire and passion to lead lives infused with purpose, transcending the boundaries of self. This is Look—it's not just what we do; it's a commitment we've wholeheartedly embraced, giving our very lives to it. Allow us to narrate compelling stories through our lens, providing you with visual memories that stand the test of time.
While Nates editing and filming talks for itself what really makes Nate a valuable part of this crew is his actual snowboarding skills... Nate Snowboard part 1:40
Escape is about some of Colorado’s finest snowboarders stepping away from everyday life to head into the backcountry and ride the way they love most. The film brings together pros like Seth Hill and Chris Corning, rising talents such as Hayden Tyler, and dedicated locals including Corbin Hladick, Nicki Weiss, and Ty Dewitt.
Rather than chasing the industry spotlight or relying on snowboarding’s biggest names, Escape turns its focus to the riders who are putting in the time and effort simply because they love it. That shift makes the film more relatable while also proving there’s a whole world of snowboarders outside the contest scene who can ride big lines, go huge off jumps, and still bring the fun that makes a snowboard movie worth watching.
