SCHOOL COMMUNICATIONS

Please read the newsletter so you are up-to-date with school happenings. Permission notes need to be returned by the due date or your child will not participate in the activity.

lunch boxes

Please check that your children have enough food for the day. If your children are not eating breakfast before coming to school they are often starting to eat what's in their lunch box before school starts as they are hungry, probably have lower blood sugars and can then have difficulty concentrating in class. This means that the food left in the lunch box is not sufficient for lunch at 11am and a snack for recess at 1pm. Many health guidelines consider the ' Five meals a day ' plan for children which equals breakfast, lunch, dinner, and two snacks. Healthy Eating has great ideas for lunchboxes and advises to combine carbohydrates with protein for your children to feel full for longer.

senior inquiry - wrap

Senior students have been busily creating educational slideshows, posters and i-movies to present to our whole school highlighting the Waster Reduction Action Plan (WRAP) they have been working on this year. This includes important reminders and tips for reducing waste at school and ways to effectively compost and recycle.

senior maths

In Senior Math, students have tested their creativity and problem-solving skills by designing board games. This hands-on project allows them to practice math skills in a fun and engaging way while also fostering teamwork and strategic thinking.

K/1 drama

Our Kindy and Year 1 students are exploring fractured fairy tales, giving classic stories a fun twist. They’ve created their own puppet shows, making characters and telling their own versions of the stories. It’s been an excellent way for them to use their imaginations and practice storytelling!

byron bay film festival

Students in Years 4-6 travelled to the Brunswick Picture Theatre to watch a screening of 'Future Council' presented by the Byron Bay Film Festival. Our students showed great curiosity and insight by asking thoughtful questions in the Q&A to finish of the session.

zooper doopers

With the warm weather here, Zooper Doopers are on again at recess. If you child would like to purchase one, please bring 50c to school.
