Hailing from London, Sunni D is an exciting DJ and avid vinyl collector with a contagious excitement for music. Constantly inspired by a multitude of genres and sounds, Sunni effortlessly merges the classic with the contemporary, blending together organic grooves with grittier, electronic rhythms to create a journey full of emotion and catharsis.
Known for his high-energy sets that blend soulful sounds from around the world, his selections flow seamlessly through ’80s disco, afro-boogie, ’90s house, and beyond — drawing deep inspiration from the vibrant rhythms of Latin America and the Afro-Caribbean.
In 2020, Sunni began his musical journey, developing a distinctive, genre-blending style through his Voices Radio and LooseFM residencies. Since 2022, he has become a core member and resident DJ for two of London’s most respected collectives — Disco Disco and Don’t F**k With Disco — consistently delivering standout sets that have cemented his place within London’s vibrant underground scene. Most recently, he joined the roster at The Jago, becoming a resident at one of East London’s most exciting and eclectic venues.
Over the past year, Sunni has hit the ground running, lighting up dance floors at Fabric, KOKO, and Village Underground, and debuting at Glastonbury Festival and Pikes in Ibiza. He’s shared the stage with some of the finest selectors in the scene, including Sadar Bahar, Kamma & Masalo and Jeremy Underground, and performed worldwide in cities like Mexico City, São Paulo, Copenhagen, and more.
His Amplitudes Radio residency, which kickstarted in February 2025, is a testament to his deep musical research and pure love of music, with each show spotlighting hidden gems from his extensive collection and featuring guest mixes recorded by established DJs in the scene.
Behind the DJ booth, Sunni can seamlessly adapt to every kind of setting, delivering moving, extended all-night sets in clubs, deeper, more intimate musical explorations at listening sessions, and perfectly crafted warm-up sets to get dancers in the mood.
Since he began producing, his sun-filled edits have been spun globally and championed by industry heavyweights Hunee and Antal.
Sunni’s sets are unpredictable, carefully curated journeys that traverse a rich array of languages, moods, and rhythms — creating a joyous space where dancers can connect and move with total freedom.
