Economic Development
Working Group Description:
The Economic Development Working Group consists of industry leaders from the private and public sectors who are committed to ensuring that Indiana businesses continue to invest in the state. These leaders bring a diverse perspective representing small, medium, and large businesses from different industries and geographies throughout Indiana. The objective of the working group is to determine how best to incentivize Indiana AML businesses to sustain and reinvest in Indiana by identifying a deliverable that is beneficial to existing Indiana companies.
Working Group Status:
The Economic Development Working Group is hosting a discussion with the Indiana Economic Development Corporation on Tuesday, March 26 to discuss how this working group can be most helpful to retention of businesses in Indiana. With the IEDC serving as the primary economic development incentive provider and marketing arm for Indiana’s economy, the economic development working group wants to understand the IEDC's perspective as well as any deficiencies where they think industry could be helpful to retaining and growing business.
Infrastructure
Working Group Description:
The Infrastructure Working Group includes a mix of manufacturing and logistics industry leaders, engineering and construction firms focused on bolstering Indiana’s infrastructure to support advanced industries. The objective of the working group is to ensure that Indiana is keeping pace with industry growth.
Working Group Status:
The project charter is final. Second meeting will be Thursday, March 21 when we will present the project charter and move forward with next steps.
Emerging Technologies
Working Group Description:
The Emerging Technologies Working Group consists of industry leaders from advanced manufacturing and logistics organizations, tech integration companies, and nonprofit organizations that are committed to increasing productivity within the manufacturing sector. The ultimate goal of the working group is to create easy to access and understand resources that all companies can utilize to positively influence the adoption of emerging technologies.
Working Group Status:
The project charter is finalized. Upcoming meetings include - the second working group meeting to present the project charter and next steps & meetings with tech integration companies to discuss the emerging technologies list.
Career Pathways
Working Group Description:
The Career Pathways Working Group acknowledges the breadth of work already taking place in the talent space and is cognizant of not duplicating the efforts of other organizations. This groups focus is improving perceptions of careers in the advanced industries and developing paths for those seeking meaningful careers in AML by highlighting recruiting and retaining best practices.
Working Group Status:
The project charter is being finalized and the next working group meeting will be scheduled at the beginning of April 2024.
