Zoom Drop-Ins

Professors can schedule a time for arts librarians to visit their classes via Zoom to give an overview of library arts resources.

Workshops: Adobe Premiere for Anyone!

We will be doing a basic overview of Adobe Premiere, with a focus on the parts of the software that can be the most useful for creative expression. This will be in conversation with The Workshop's resource Adobe Premiere Exercises - Maya Deren Remix Series, which was designed for Art Foundation students and faculty but is open to everyone.

Drop in and browse a selection of materials including, new acquisitions, book art, and comic arts.

Carla-Mae Crookendale

Arts Research Librarian

Carla-Mae Crookendale works with faculty and students in the visual and performing arts. She supports their creative research through instruction, one-on-one consultations and programming.

Katharine Buckley

Special Collections and Archives Teaching and Learning Librarian

As SCA Teaching and Learning Librarian, Katharine provides instruction sessions, workshops, and programs that use primary source materials, including artists’ books, comic arts, manuscript collections, and rare books.

Oscar Keyes

Multimedia Teaching and Learning Librarian

As Multimedia Teaching & Learning Librarian, Keyes develops, delivers and promotes the Creative Technologies and Scholarship department’s instruction program in support of VCU community members’ multimedia literacy and creative skills. He will design, teach and assess instruction sessions focusing on audio and video production techniques, equipment and software. In addition, he will manage the department’s audio and video studios and will take over planning for weekly Wednesday in the Workshop sessions.
