As we formally conclude our National Public Health Week @ SJSU 2026 events, we proudly share the inaugural scholarship and award recipients from the Kevin Roe Legacy Fund. Kevin was a Public Health faculty member and an activist, mentor, and educator in HIV and gay rights in the Bay Area for more than 45 years. Please join us in honoring his lifelong commitments by celebrating students, staff, and faculty at SJSU who are dedicated to inclusivity and social justice.

NPHW is an annual, weeklong event recognizing the contributions of public health and educating people about public health.
Each day, a public health issue that is important to improving the health of this nation will be highlighted.
Here at SJSU, we use the week as an opportunity to bring together students and professionals. Our goal is to support career exploration through the sharing of career and professional journeys.
