One of the most iconic writers of modern literature, Sandra Cisneros, will visit TAMIU tomorrow, Tuesday, Nov. 7 at 6 p.m., sharing a reading, Q&A, and book signing in the Center for the Fine and Performing Arts Recital Hall.   • Not Alone: Working Together in the Fight Against Human Trafficking, an original exhibition produced by the Bullock Texas State History Museum, continues at the TAMIU Academic Innovation Center (main entrance lobby through Saturday, Nov. 11, 2023. It’s hosted by the College of Arts and Sciences, department of Psychology and Communication.
  • We have several events scheduled for all current first-generation students in honor of TAMIU's First Gen Week Nov. 6-9. Activities range from a resume workshop and mixer to a First Gen Celebration event and Loteria.   • End of semester performances are here! TAMIU's Center for the Fine and Performing Arts is offering numerous events from Nov. 8 - 18 including an Orchestra Concert, Theatre Showcase, Symphonic Concert, Chamber and Brass Ensemble Concert, Percussion Ensemble Concert, a Fall Dance Concert and much more. Celebrated Novelist Sandra Cisneros in Free Lecture at TAMIU Tuesday

One of the most iconic writers of modern literature, Sandra Cisneros, will visit TAMIU on Tuesday, Nov. 7 at 6 p.m., sharing a reading, Q&A, and book signing in the Center for the Fine and Performing Arts Recital Hall. Presented by the College of Arts and Sciences, Department of Humanities, this event is free of charge and open to all.

New Exhibition at TAMIU Educates Visitors about Human Trafficking, Offers Resources, Ends Nov. 11

An original exhibition produced by the Bullock Texas State History Museum is now on view at TAMIU's Academic Innovation Center main entrance lobby. It continues through Saturday, Nov. 11, 2023.

TAMIU Regents Professor Dr. Nereu Kock Ranked Among World's Top 2% Researchers in 2023 Stanford List

TAMIU's A. R. Sanchez, Jr. School of Business Regents Professor Dr. Nereu Kock has been recognized as one of the Top 2% Researchers in the World in a 2023 Stanford University list published on Elsevier's Digital Commons Data Repository. Dr. Kock, who also serves as chair of the Sanchez School’s Division of International Business and Technology Studies, has been ranked No. 22 in the subfield of “Information Systems” in the latest version of the Stanford list, released this month.

TAMIU is a member of the Lone Star Conference and competes in 11 sports: volleyball, men's and women's basketball, men's and women's cross country, softball, baseball, men's and women's soccer, and men's and women's golf.
