From Fairytales to New Adventures nURSERY, SPRING TERM, WEEK 6

As we reach the end of this half term, it’s been wonderful to see the children enjoying their fairytale adventures. This week we continued our adventures with Goldilocks and the Three Bears. The children have loved retelling the story, acting out their favourite parts, and using story language in their play.

Thursday was extra special as we welcomed parents for a reading session. The children were excited to share stories and activities, and it was lovely to see them so proud of their learning.

We finished Thursday with dancing like princesses, pirates, and superheroes (we just went with it). The children had lots of fun following the moves, copying the dance steps, and joining in with the music.

In maths, we have been exploring numbers and shapes. Many children enjoyed spotting shapes in the environment and using their counting skills during construction play.

It has been wonderful to see how much the children’s confidence has grown this half term. They are increasingly independent, cooperative, and confident when speaking to each other during both independent play and group learning time.

We are so proud of everything the children have achieved this half term and can’t wait to begin learning all about animals — big and small! After the break, there will be lots of exciting new discoveries and adventures to enjoy together.
