About Suset

Suset is Esbjerg’s new festival, launched in 2024, celebrating musical superstars and culinary favourites in a setting unlike any other. In the city’s industrial harbor, cranes and containers are transformed with string lights, vibrant colours, and festive energy as new and old friends gather for communal singing and dancing while the sun sets over the basin. The festival offers a unique opportunity to host a celebration that honours Esbjerg’s history and DNA as a hub connecting people and the sea – all while creating a spectacular backdrop that stands out from any other festival in Denmark.

The Music

Suset brings together Danish superstars, international artists, and emerging talents across multiple genres, from pop and rock to EDM and reggae. The festival’s line-up features headline acts such as Nik & Jay, The Minds of 99, Teddy Swims, and Jason Derulo, offering audiences an energetic and eclectic mix of performances that reflect both the Danish and global music scenes.

Clinique

At Suset, Clinique hosted an engaging activation inside a branded container. Guests could receive personalized skin analyses, enjoy popcorn, and take fun pictures in the photobooth. Clinique also handed out product samples and showcased their four-skin-type range. In addition, they hosted an intimate influencer dinner to further highlight the brand experience and connect with key profiles.

CK Bonnichsen

As the sponsor of the exclusive VIP area “Dækket”, CK Bonnichsen brought both hospitality and local impact to Suset. The Esbjerg-based investment firm focuses on supporting small and medium-sized businesses in the region, and their presence at the festival reflected this commitment. Using part of their digital exposure, they highlighted Gadens Gastronomer, who were also present on-site with a food stand - creating a meaningful link between local entrepreneurship and the Suset guest experience.

Esbjerg Muncipality

As Suset’s main collaboration partner, Esbjerg Kommune plays a vital role in shaping the festival’s vision of positioning Esbjerg as a city rich in cultural life. Their dedicated lounge served as a hub for representatives from Business Esbjerg, Education Esbjerg, and the City Council, creating a space for dialogue and networking.

Beyond the festival grounds, Esbjerg Kommune also curated experiences to showcase the city’s vibrant potential. This included hosting influencers on guided tours of Esbjerg, ending at Suset, as well as the unique “Hjemve Tour”, where former residents could win festival passes and transport back to their hometown. Together with Suset, Esbjerg Kommune highlighted both the city’s cultural identity and its strong community spirit.

GreyBird Pilot Academy

As Suset’s Digital Partner, Greybird Pilot Academy combined brand visibility with interactive engagement to connect with festival-goers. Through targeted digital campaigns and activations on the festival’s big screens, guests were invited to scan a QR code and try their luck at a “Spin the Wheel” game - with the chance to win a flyversjus at the bar. This fun and memorable activity not only drove attention at the festival but also helped Greybird generate valuable leads among potential future pilots.
