Principal's Message
What a wonderful start to our 2026 schooling year! There are so many smiling faces in our playground each morning. It has been lovely to be able to welcome new families to our school this year, and I look forward to partnering with you all in your child's learning journey. As we embark on a fresh and exciting new school year, our school community is buzzing with enthusiasm and positivity. We are glad to share that our Kindergarten students have settled in exceptionally well. Their cheerful smiles and eagerness to learn are a wonderful start to their educational journey, and we look forward to watching them grow and thrive throughout the year. This year also brings some exciting developments beyond the classroom. Significant building works are underway to extend the administration block, providing improved facilities for staff and visitors alike. These enhancements are a testament to our commitment to creating a safe, welcoming, and modern learning environment for everyone. While this work is being completed, I ask that parents and carers please limit access through the office building in the morning and leave via the Hall gate or Bus gate. This will be of great assistance to everyone onsite, including the construction workers. Thank you all for your understanding and support by avoiding moving through the office area unless you have a specific query for the lovely office staff. I am excited to offer free intensive swimming lessons for all students in Week 6. As a community surrounded by water, these lessons will equip them with vital skills to stay safe and confident. I really hope you all take advantage of this free program! Our assemblies have moved to a three-weekly rotation and will start this week. These will be held on a Friday from 1:15pm - 2pm. A reminder to parents and carers about any early student collections to ring the school office to allow enough time for staff to get your children. I ask that messages come through no later than 2.30pm in order for our staff to be able to get your message to your child. Once again, I thank you for your understanding and support in this space. I would also like to take this opportunity to sincerely thank Mrs Angela Wraight, for her outstanding leadership and dedication throughout 2025. Angela stepped in with grace and professionalism while I was away relieving at Southern Cross Public School, and her contributions have been invaluable to maintaining the high standards of our school community.
