UNITAC's Open Call for Projects 2024 called for innovative project ideas on how to solve the most pressing urban issues with data and technology solutions.
The selection committee has reviewed all 54 submissions carefully and with great interest, selecting six project teams to present their proposals at an online pitch session to the UNITAC team in April.
After the pitch session, three projects have been selected for support by UNITAC. We are very excited to announce our collaboration with these innovative projects and congratulate the project teams! We are thrilled to work with:
GIZ Bangladesh on innovations for climate-smart urban development in four municipalities
Hargeisa Water Agency on bridging water access for the urban poor
Public Space Network on improving data collection on solid waste generation in informal settlements in Nairobi
