Welcome New Staff Welcome to Otselic Valley

New Faces at Otselic Valley: Welcome to Our Viking Family!

Otselic Valley is proud to welcome several new staff members to our Viking family this year! Each brings unique experience, enthusiasm, and a commitment to helping our students learn and grow.

Melissa Brown - 5th Grade ELA & Science, 4th Grade Science

We’re thrilled to welcome Melissa Brown, an OV alum, back to Otselic Valley! Melissa will be teaching 5th Grade ELA and Science, as well as 4th Grade Science. She earned her Master’s in Elementary Teaching from WGU and has been actively involved in our community through coaching OV Rec basketball and soccer. Outside the classroom, Melissa enjoys game nights with her family, camping, and cheering on the Buffalo Bills. Welcome back, Melissa -- we’re so glad to have you on the team!

Corilynn Coye - Elementary Special Education

Joining us as an Elementary Special Education Teacher, Ms. Corilynn Coye holds a Bachelor’s degree in Elementary Education and a Master’s degree in Special Education. She’s excited to be part of the OV community and bring her passion for teaching and student support to our classrooms. Outside of school, Ms. Coye enjoys skiing, hiking, spending time with her family, and caring for her pet pig, Hank! Welcome, Ms. Coye!

Alyssa Macrino - Academic & Career Coordinator

We’re also happy to welcome Alyssa Macrino as our new Academic & Career Coordinator. Alyssa earned her Bachelor’s degree in Education and Humanities from SUNY Cortland and is currently pursuing her Master’s in School Counseling at St. Bonaventure University, set to graduate in May 2026. Originally from Rockland County, Alyssa enjoys playing pickleball (she even competes in tournaments as far as Dallas, TX!) and spending time with her two cats, Leo and Mufasa. We’re so glad to have you at OV, Alyssa!

New Aides -

We’re excited to introduce two new aides joining our team this year: Liz Yaddow and Victoria LeDuc. Their support and dedication will make a big difference in our classrooms and in the lives of our students every day.

Together, these new Vikings bring energy, compassion, and new perspectives to Otselic Valley. We’re excited for the great things ahead -- welcome to our team!
