Central Dispatch CGEMC Newsletter | February 2024

we love our members

Central Georgia EMC (CGEMC) is proud to follow the seven cooperative principles. The cooperative principles guide our actions and ensure that our members are at the heart of everything we do. A strong and vibrant community is essential for the success of our members, and we are committed to doing our part to ensure our members' energy and community needs are met.

Democratic member control is an important principle that sets us apart. As a member of Central Georgia EMC, you have a voice in how the cooperative is run. We hold our Annual Meeting the first Wednesday in August, where members can voice their opinions, ask questions, and elect representatives to serve on the board of directors. This ensures that decisions are made in our members' best interest and reflects our community's needs and perspectives.

Members' economic participation is also an essential aspect of our cooperative. When you become a member of Central Georgia EMC, you benefit from our reliable and affordable energy services and the opportunity to receive capital credits. Capital credits represent your share of the cooperative's excess margins and are returned to you in the form of a check. This allows you to directly benefit from the success of the cooperative and reinvest in your own energy needs.

At Central Georgia EMC, we truly love our members. We are committed to providing affordable, reliable, and sustainable energy, and continually strive to exceed those expectations. We are proud to be a community-focused organization owned and governed by our members. Together, we can create a brighter future. Learn about more ways we show our love at www.cgemc.com.

2024 Residential Rebates

Is it time for an upgrade? Save energy and money with CGEMC's 2024 rebates!

Nearly half of energy used in your home goes to heating and cooling. Upgrading an outdated or aging system can save you money. If your unit is more than 10 years old and needs frequent repairs, it may be time to replace it.

Water heaters use more energy than your refrigerator, clothes washer, dishwasher, and dryer combined. Upgrading your water heater can save you hundreds of dollars yearly on energy costs. Visit www.cgemc.com for details.

*A load management switch must be installed on qualifying equipment by a Central Georgia EMC employee before the rebate can be processed. The load management switch must remain on equipment and in operating status as long as Central Georgia EMC has a load management program. Limit one (1) qualifying heat pump and/or one (1) qualifying water heater rebate per member/household. Heat pump and/or water heater must have been installed on or after January 1, 2024.
