Girls Lacrosse Senior Night May 8, 2024

On May 8, 2024 the Girls Varsity Lacrosse team celebrated seniors at their last home game and demolished Grand Rapids Christian 14-5. Seven hard-working seniors were recognized before their big win.

Italian exchange student Meryam Msadek walks with her host parents, Carl and Lacey Bowerman. This is Msadek's first year playing lacrosse and she played defense. She plans on attending college and studying medicine.

Senior Tierra Tyron being escorted by her parents Melinda and Todd Tyron. Tryon has been a dedicated player. She plans on attending New College of Florida for lacrosse in the fall.

Senior Abigail Glynn walks with her parents, Kelly and Vicki Glynn. Glynn has been playing lacrosse for six years. She plans on going to Grand Rapids Community College (GRCC) for two years and then transferring to Grand Valley State University (GVSU) to earn a degree in Social Work and Psychology.

Senior Joelle Henke escorted by her mom and dad Kate Henke and Ryan Gummere. Henke plays attack and has been playing for eight years. She is attending Michigan State University (MSU) for secondary education after high school.

Senior Ashley Sanders led by her mom, Amy James. She has been playing lacrosse for eight years, and is continuing her lacrosse career while pursuing a degree at Davenport University.

Senior Cassidy Sanders poses alongside her mom, Amy James. Cassidy has been playing lacrosse for eight years and is committed to playing for Davenport University while earning a degree.

Senior Kaylee Jangda walks with her parents Carrie and David Jangda. She has played an active role in the lacrosse team for eight years and is considering attending either Western Michigan University or Michigan State University in the fall.

Maddee Teunis, Cassidy and Ashley celebrate together while being introduced before their game alongside coach Nicole Herman and Andy Bouwens. The three athletes were excited to play and ready to win in their last home game of the season.
Sophomores Natalie Benedict, Teunis and Paige Henke sing the National Anthem before the start of the game. This was an enjoyable and fun moment for the three.

Ashley and Cassidy strategize as they walk down the field. This dynamic twin duo is continuing their magic at Davenport in the fall.
Tryon catches the ball after getting it passed to her by her teammate. She was ready to showcase her strong abilities for her last time playing on home turf.

Henke runs across the field after receiving a pass. She is determined and focused on scoring her team a point.

Cassidy catches a pass from Henke and prepares to shoot a goal. Anytime Cassidy is on the field, she is a threat to the competition.

Abigail Glynn waits for the ball between plays. Glynn plays defense for the Wildcats. Here she anticipates the action coming her way.

Bowman carries the ball while Ashley screens for her, making sure nobody can steal the ball. These two are always working to win.

Glynn pushes into the mid field while on defense. She is always eager to assist Northview's powerhouse offense in anyway she can.

Jangda and Joelle block a pass made by Grand Rapids Christian. This was a successful interception by the two.
