Youth on Course 100 Hole Hike McCall Lake Golf Course | Calgary, Alberta | August 23

Join us for the second Youth on Course 100 Hole Hike in Alberta! On Saturday, August 23, 2025, we will welcome a group of golf-lovers turned Hikers to McCall Lake Golf Course in Calgary, Alberta for a day of golf and camaraderie, all in support of youth access to golf.

What is the 100 Hole Hike?

Youth on Course supporters from across the globe take on the formidable challenge of playing 100 holes of golf on foot, in one day, all in an effort to help ensure young people have affordable access to golf and the life-changing opportunities that come with playing the sport. Leading up to the day of the Hike, each person fundraises within their network through their own personalized fundraising page on our platform. Every dollar raised goes back into Youth on Course programs and subsidies in Alberta.

THE COURSE

McCall Lake Golf Course

McCall Lake is an oasis in the middle of the city. It has an 18-hole course, a par 3 course, two putting greens, a chipping area and driving range. Hikers will take on the challenge on the par 3 course.

THE EXPECTATIONS

Fundraising

Each Hiker is accepting the challenge to raise a minimum of $1,000 through their personal network by their Hike date. You can achieve this goal through peer-to-peer fundraising, or a donation.

By joining the Hike and engaging your network, you will help to subsidize hundreds of rounds of golf for our Youth on Course members!

Can’t join the hike? You can still make an impact! Click on a Hiker page or “Team Golf Canada” to donate and support our mission.

All donations are tax-deductible. Tax receipts for donations made towards Canadian participants will be issued by the Golf Canada Foundation which is a registered Canadian charity.

About Us

Youth on Course provides our over 200,000 members with access to play almost 2,100 golf courses for $5 or less in Canada, the United States, and Australia. Beyond access to affordable golf, we provide opportunities for young people to succeed on and off the course through scholarships, mentorships, internships, and leadership development, all while forging lifelong connections.

Rain or Shine

Please note that the 100 Hole Hike is scheduled to go ahead rain or shine. However, in the case of inclement weather that makes it unsafe to proceed with golf, the event will be cancelled. All funds raised will still directly to support Youth on Course and help ensure more young people have access to affordable golf across Canada. While we’ll be disappointed not to tee it up this year, we'll look forward to trying again next season.
