The Torres Memorial Award is voted on by classmates, and awarded to the individual who was the most helpful, and enthusiastic throughout the course. The Top Graduate award was presented to her for the highest combined scores in labs, speeches, and academics.

Joint Operations Center (JOC) leadership prepare to start a infrastructure cyber attack response exercise at Fraine Barracks in Bismarck, Nov. 19, 2022.
About 35 Soldiers and Airmen from the National Guard’s Domestic Operations Section worked from the organization’s Joint Operations Center (JOC), exercising command and control for military response resources during the exercise.

The exercise scenario featured a nation-state bad actor initiating a highly coordinated cyber-attack against online infrastructure in North Dakota. Service members practiced working with limited electrical power and telecommunications. Radios located in the JOC were the only way to relay information critical to the notional response.

Children and families also enjoyed indoor snowball fights, ornament making, cookie decorating, winter carnival games and prizes, indoor sledding and more.

As of Dec. 1, 2022, Sgt. Maj. Jonathan Pearson assumed duties as the operations sergeant major for the 68th Troop Command in Bismarck.
