Welcome to Maple

"Our care of the child should be governed, not by the desire ‘to make him learn things’, but by the endeavor always to keep burning within him that light which is called intelligence." —Dr. Maria Montessori

Highlights:-

Each day in our classroom has been exciting, meaningful, and productive. Our toddlers in Maple have made wonderful progress throughout this school year, and we are so proud of all they have accomplished. We wish them continued success and happiness as they keep learning and growing. We would love to share some of the fun activities, learning experiences, and special memories we enjoyed together this school year!

A special thank you to all of our Maple families for your support and participation in our gardening activities. The toddlers are looking forward to caring for the plants by watering and helping keep the garden healthy. Gardening provides children with many valuable learning experiences and helps them develop responsibility, curiosity, and appreciation for the environment.

Here are some concert pictures!

Practical life Skill:-

In Practical Life Skills, the toddlers enjoyed transferring ice cubes, scooping sand, cutting wooden fruit, sorting summer clothes, and caring for baby dolls by washing them and brushing their teeth. These activities helped develop fine motor skills, independence, and kindness while encouraging social and emotional growth.

Sensorial Area:-

In the Sensorial section, children enjoyed matching spring shapes like butterflies, dragonflies, and caterpillars. They also matched colored beads and explored different flowers by touching and feeling their petals. This activity helped them observe different textures, shapes, and colors.

Language Area:-

In the Language area, children enjoyed sorting flowers by name and color, which helped build their vocabulary. They also loved reading and reciting “The Hungry Caterpillar” with a stuffed caterpillar, making the activity fun and engaging.

Science Area:-

In the Science section we learn about "Butterfly Life Cycle" spring time is a wonderful time to grow so many things all around us, children love to observe and talk endlessly about life cycles. We talked about all 4 stages of butterfly life cycle, the first stage in the life cycle of butterfly- the egg stage. The second stage occurs when then the egg hatches and gives rise to the butterfly larva. The third stage involves the transformation of larva into chrysalis or pupa. The fourth and final stage is the adult stage.

Math Area:-

In the Math section, children explored clock and number peg activities. They enjoyed moving the hour and minute hands to learn about time, numbers, and shapes. Children also practiced counting from 1–10 using number pegs, which helped develop fine motor skills and hand-eye coordination.

Art Area:-

Art is always a favorite activity for toddlers. They enjoyed coloring to create butterflies and bird nests. The children colored paper plates and decorated them with flowers and butterfly cut-outs to make beautiful hanging artworks. Art activities are incredibly beneficial for toddlers in many ways. This activity encouraged creativity while helping to develop fine motor skills, hand-eye coordination, and concentration through coloring, gluing, and arranging different materials.
