It was then she realized that even as a graphic designer at this stage of life, God could still use her gifts for His mission. Though she once hesitated to leave a comfortable life for support‑raising, God patiently prepared her. In His timing, her obedience led her to join OMM.
Color, is a fourth-generation Christian from Sarawak. Inspired by her father’s passion for evangelism and ministry among indigenous people, she carried the seed of missions from childhood. Her true calling began to unfold after the age of 40. Through mission courses, conferences, and the encouragement of three missionaries from different countries, she sensed God confirming His calling for her life. She was especially moved by the example of Caleb in Joshua 14:6–12. His unwavering faith, courage, and steadfast loyalty to God, facing challenges with trust and perseverance, left a lasting impact on her heart. It was then she realized that even as a graphic designer at this stage of life, God could still use her gifts for His mission. Though she once hesitated to leave a comfortable life for support‑raising, God patiently prepared her. In His timing, her obedience led her to join OMM, which she had already connected with through short‑term trips and design work. In 2022, Color was diagnosed with stage one ovarian cancer. Despite this, her faith grew deeper as she came to know God as Jehovah Rapha and Jehovah Jireh, her healer and provider. The challenge did not stop her from serving God; instead, it deepened her understanding of His heart for the world as revealed through the life of Jesus. It reminded her to remain sensitive to God’s calling and aligned with His will. This year marks her fifth year of service. Beyond design work, her ministry now includes mobilizing Chinese churches for missions, coordinating mission education through Perspectives course, and serving as a prayer coordinator. Her journey reflects Romans 8:28: “And we know that in all things God works for the good of those who love him, who have been called according to his purpose.” Color is grateful for the prayers and supports of her church, brothers and sisters in Christ, enabling OM to continue in God’s mission. All is by His grace, glory to the Lord!
For you know the grace of our Lord Jesus Christ, that though he was rich, yet for your sake he became poor, so that you by his poverty might become rich.
