Academic Updates

Our 7th grade students had the opportunity to explore the classic novel The Outsiders by S.E. Hinton thanks to an educational outreach program from Playhouse in the Park. This weeklong workshop was conducted by Playhouse Educator John Llewellyn who led the students in the creation of a theatrical performance that blended different types of dramatic writing. The students retold the story by creating and bringing to life the characters, setting, and events of the novel. The students' performances were very impressive!

Congratulations to our 7th Grade groups moving on to the Greater Cincinnati Finals! The chosen groups playspace challenge designs were Vexscape and Redwood Forest Retreat!

We Are Learners, We are Leaders

We Are Leaders

The EDGE Showcase the past week was a spectacular event of amazing student work and performances! This is what the EDGE program is all about!

A huge thank you to everyone who attended, supported, and celebrated our students’ achievements. This is another example of what makes our community so special!

Congratulations to Ella Dixon and Darren Chandler who graduated last Sunday from the Regional Youth Leadership program - Class of 2025. These two students represented Beechwood among students from over 35 regional high schools.

the NEXT Competition that students participated in on Thursday, March 20th at Thomas More University.

The Main Stage: Ivanna: Charlotte Hill & Lily Guenther 4th place

We are Learners

7th Grade PE Archery Unit. We Are Learners!

The AP Environmental students visited the Miami Fort Generating Station in North Bend, OH learning more about alternative energy solutions.

This past week our 9th and 10th grade students had the chance to see into the future by taking part in the "It's Your Reality" event. These students were given real life scenarios, their yearly income, and then visited many life options to see what they could ultimately afford. Many students got a real dose of "reality" as they saw how quickly their money was needed to cover expenses they never thought about. Experiential learning leading to greater insight! A big thank you to the 4H group, Beechwood Senior Interns, and our wonderful parent volunteers for making the day a success!

Do you need service hours or would like the oppotunity for your family to be involved in outside service projects? Check wout the Beechwood Serves Website and look at the Service Menu at the top right. You can also track your service hours using the link at the top. This way when you are applying for NHS/NJHS or scholarships you can remember what service you performed and the time spent. Have a great time serving those in the Beechwood community and beyond!
