7th Grade Peek of the Week Week of november 27th, 2023

CONTENT INFORMATION FOR THE WEEK!

ELA(Garwes, Helsel, Trotman): Scholars are reading poetry and texts from the early 2000's to understand the perspectives of those who lived at that time.

ELA (Helsel, Manahan, Trotman): Scholars will continue reading the Hunger Games and completing segments.

Math:Hope everyone had a great Thanksgiving break. In math we are right back into learning. We will be beginning Unit 3 this week. We will jump right into unit rate and proportions. Each of these will build upon what we have already discussed in Unit's 1 and 2. We will have a few classes cut short due to Map Testing early in the week, but all in all we will begin the big push toward the end of the semester and Christmas Break. Look forward to seeing the scholars on Monday.

Science: This week is a review of the hunman body systems we have covered so far and then a more concentrated look at the Digestive and Excretory Systems. OUr Unit 3 Test is Decmember 11th and 12th. Study guides havebeen available since the unit started both digitally and on paper!

Social Studies: Students will then continue learning about the Middle East, exploring government and economics!

Our counselor has developed some great social-emotional lessons for our students! Feel free to look through them and discuss them with your child.
