What is GP Marketing/DECA Program?

Is a "co-curricular" program that gives students an opportunity to aspire higher, become leaders, and prepare to thrive in the global economy. Students can enhance their classroom experience by becoming a DECA member. DECA members are able to attend conferences and compete at the local, state, and international level with DECA.

Courses:

Introduction to Marketing

This course is for 1st year marketing students. It is a foundation course where students will be introduced to the world of marketing. Marketing is about planning and implementing a strategic process to bring people and products together. This is a prerequisite for all other marketing courses.

PNW College Credit Course

Sports & Entertainment Marketing

This course explores the exciting world of marketing in the sports & entertainment industry. Through projects, students will learn and practice skills in business planning, marketing, information management, economics, branding, promotion, sponsorship and so much more. This course is offer every other year. (2025-2026)

PNW College Credit Course

Advanced Marketing

This course is offered every other year (2026-2027). It will build on the concepts and knowledge that you have gained in the pervious marketing courses. Entrepreneurship, Social Responsibility Marketing, and Social Media Marketing are just a few of the units of Advanced Marketing.

Entrepreneurship

This course is a Senior, capstone course. It is an application course. Students are selected to be part of the management team of the Grizzly Den/Grizzly Grounds/Grizzly Gear/Peak Apparel. There is a great responsibility that the management team has to Glacier Peak DECA. This team runs, operates, and manages the Grizzly Den, which is our daily fundraiser.

PNW College Credit Course

All of Glacier Peak Marketing course are "Dual" College Credit. Students can start NOW to earn college credit towards their degree.
