RETURNERS
Ericka Chavarria (Sr.) - Chavarria played in 24 matches over her two seasons at Eckerd. Last year, she posted a 3-7 record in singles play in the No.1 and No. 3 spots. She won three straight singles matches against Salem University (3/2), the University of Mary (3/4), and Catawba (3/7).
Julia Triska (Jr.). - Triska has appeared in 32 matches over her career. Last year, she played in 16 singles matches in the No. 2 and No. 3 singles positions. She appeared in 12 doubles matches with a win over Warner (Fla.) paired with Alexis Kwasnik in the No. 2 spot.
Kylie Misdorp (Jr.) - She played in 26 matches over her first two seasons. Last year, she had a team-leading five singles wins out of the No. 1 and No.2 spots. She picked up a point against the No. 24 ranked Florida Southern Moccasins, with a 6-2, 6-4 win over Maxima Ellenberg in the No. 2 draw.
Maya Soligo (So.) - Soligo appeared in seven singles matches primarily in the No. 6 spot in her rookie campaign. She competed in 16 doubles matches all in the No. 1 spot, primarily paired with Kylie Misdorp.
Morgan O'Connor (So.) - O'Connor played in one singles match last season against No. 17 St. Mary’s University in the No. 5 draw.

Catherine Cole (Fr.) - Cole prepped at Southside High School in Arkansas, where she was selected for all-conference and all-state each year from her final three years.
Maialen Idiakez (Fr.) - She prepped at Brookvale Groby in Spain.
Olivia Lindestaf (Fr.) - Lindestaf prepped at Thoren Business School in Sweden.
Lara Machado (Fr.) - She prepped at K12 Private Academy and Colegio Santo Agostinho in Brazil.
BEN MAXWELL '11
Ben Maxwell '11, a former Eckerd student-athlete standout, is entering his 10th season as the head coach of the men’s and women’s tennis programs. Overall, this is his 12th season on the coaching staff of the Eckerd tennis teams. After serving as the assistant coach and interim head coach, Maxwell officially took over the reins of the men’s and women’s programs in December 2013.
In 2016, Maxwell led the men's tennis program to a record-setting season that saw the Tritons record 12 wins, including seven 9-0 sweeps. Since taking over in 2013, Maxwell has strengthened the depth of the men’s program, increasing Eckerd’s competitiveness in the Sunshine State Conference and producing all-conference players, including Will Stone, Matt Spasic, Pierre-Olivier Lassalle, Batu Ataseven, and Esteve Augusti. In 2019, the men's team put together a seven-match winning streak. Maxwell's women's program has won the William J. Mathews Academic Excellence Award for the last five academic years. This award is given each year to the Eckerd College athletics team with the highest team GPA.
2024 WOMEN'S TENNIS QUICK LINKS
Eckerd opens the season, hosting Florida Memorial on February 8. The Tritons have 10 non-conference matches, with seven coming at the Bullard Courts. Eckerd opens SSC play at Lynn on February 24 and concludes the regular season slate on April 13 versus Embry-Riddle.
Eckerd was picked 10th in the SSC Preseason Poll. With many newcomers added to the roster, the Tritons look to shake up the SSC standings.
