AUGUST communiqué

Hi everyone,

Historically, in every major move of the Holy Spirit locally, regionally and internationally, the Blood Of Jesus Christ, meaning His sacrificially work on the cross has always been central. Heb 5:22 “without shedding of blood there is no remission.”

The major theme in Scripture is always, “Lamb of God slain from the foundation of the world”. Not only did He die on the cross, HE SHED HIS BLOOD. It was a very violent, painful, ugly and undignified death.

When John the Baptist, saw Jesus, this prophet declared to the realms of man and the spirit world, “Behold the Lamb of God, who takes away the sin of the world” (John 1:29). Yes, His is the Lion that roars with authority, but He is pre-eminently the Lamb for our salvation, restoration and power

We are redeemed by the Blood. The blood of Jesus is precious – costly, valuable, honourable, highly esteemed and beloved. It is the Blood that save, heal, deliver, restore and blesses. Gal 3:13-14 declared we are redeemed by His Blood. We were all “bought from the slave market of Satan” by the Blood of Jesus Christ

“Christ redeemed us from the curse of the law by becoming a curse for us—for it is written, “Cursed is everyone who is hanged on a tree”— so that in Christ Jesus the blessing of Abraham might come to the Gentiles, so that we might receive the promised Spirit through faith”

The tendency today is to reduce the blood to a symbol of because it is repulsive, sickening to a clean and antiseptic society or Church? We do not like the idea that we cannot help ourselves. We do not like the idea that our practicality is not sufficient

“Church become more bloodless but world become bloody”

“Culture uses blood and violence to secure self-interest, Jesus uses His blood shed in violence to secure and maintain our righteousness”

We must renew our faith in the power of the blood of Jesus to see the power of God in our lives and church today! Believing in the power of the blood means

1. We cannot save ourselves- we need a mediator. Jesus Christ – mediator for salvation and every aspect of life 1 Tim 2:5
2. We need more than great ideas – we need cleansing. Rom 7:17-18
3. We need the anointing of God’s power in every aspects of our life. God releases the Holy Spirit anointing when we honour the blood. Lev 14:14-18 “put the oil…upon the blood”. The anointing oil placed on same spot where blood was applied.

To believe in the Blood of Jesus is to believe all that Jesus did on the cross for us. May the church always remember John the Baptist prophetic declaration, “Behold the Lamb of God, who takes away the sin of the world” (John 1:29). May this be your personal declaration and the declaration of Metro Tabernacle.
