The Sanctuary of Art Creative perspectives

When it comes to artforms, artwork, and art-space, it is all subjective. It is based on the eye of the creator and the beholder. In China, there is a long and established history of multi-ethnic culture. Based on their environment, ways of living, and developed customs, art became functional as well as aesthetically pleasing. Most importantly, the art is spiritually relevant and highly valued.

Some favorite captures of art and culture that can be seen throughout the world through the eyes of a foreigner...

We visited several monuments, museums, and sacred spaces of creativity. From the Shanghai museum of China, to the historical Shanghai museum, and then to the Tsinghua University Art Museum, there was no shortage of beauty, intricacy, and glory. These creative spaces displayed a history that you see not only in China, but in other countries where these styles and talents have transcended cultures and embodied the DNA of so many other traditions and ways of life.

My special embroidery keepsake that is a pillowcase... now I get to make a special pillow to put in it!

The most intimate form of art that I witnessed was the AMAZING embroidery! The level of detail and commitment that it takes to create these masterpieces is literally beyond my comprehension! I did purchase an embroidery piece that I will forever cherish because the value I have placed on the women who poured their lives into creating these unique works of art!
