Homecoming A gathering of brits near and far

Albion College's Homecoming celebration was one for the history books, capped off with a resounding W for Britons Football.

Guests were asked to answer "Why Albion?" upon arriving to the campus green.

Tailgates hosted by families, alumni, Greek groups, faculty and staff were in abundance as were impromptu corn hole games.

Alumni traveled to Albion to celebrate Homecoming festivities as well as their reunions, including the Class of 1973 who celebrated their 50 year reunion.

Campus was dripping with purple and gold, and the creativity of our community of Brits was on full display.

Members of the Class of 2026 painted the rock to honor Albion's unofficial squirrel mascot as part of a Homecoming Spirit Week competition.

Currents students, alumni, faculty, staff, families and supporters gathered for a festive pre-game tailgate behind Ferguson Hall.

The Tailgate Competition was a fierce contest but the judges awarded ribbons for "Best Food and Drink" as well as for "Most School Spirit"!

The Class of 2003 had a tailgate to celebrate their 20th reunion.

The Wrestling team brought their practice outside in front of Kresge Gymnasium.

Women's Soccer ended with a scoreless draw against the Kalamazoo Hornets. The Britons now sit at 3-1-5 overall, 0-0-1 in the league.

The final score of the football game was Albion 44, Kalamazoo 17, in the MIAA opener Saturday afternoon. The Brits are now 5-0 heading into conference play.

This Kye Bristow 23 yrd reception from Luke Lovell for a touchdown capped a 49 yard drive. Bristow caught six passes for 102 yards and a pair of touchdowns in Saturday's win.
