For this piece I printed the same picture of an owl twice in different color settings then I physically weaved them together. My goal was to create an illusion where sometimes you could see one set of colors and the other set another time. I think this is really cool and I love the way it turned out. I hope my audience just enjoys looking at it and takes a minute to think about how it was done.
For this light painting piece I highlighted a plant in the dark. My goal was to inspire people by lighting up a little bit of life in the darkness. I think it is an inspirational piece but I think I could have executed it better. I hope that my audience sees the message and understands the concept to try to light up their lives.
Bella Donna is Italian for “pretty girl” so with the stitching effect I highlighted the pretty girl. My goal was to add an interesting pop of color while also highlighting what wasn't colored. I really like this piece because I haven't seen many like it before and I think it's a really cool concept that I managed to do pretty well. I hope my audience is empowered to smile and light up a room.
In this piece I used a mini lava lamp to take a fascinating light painting photo. My goal was to create a clear light painting photo that catches people's eyes. I like this one. I just think it is a little blurry and I could've done better in the overall quality. I hope my audience just thinks this is cool and likes it as much as I do.
This isn't your typical deconstruction piece. This is a picture of all of the things that make up my cheer uniform. When you put all of these things together you get a cheerleader ready to compete! I think I did a pretty good job putting all of the pieces together with the background. I hope my audience can understand how all of the pieces fit together to create one big image.
This ICM piece is an image of a bridge over a body of water in paris. My goal with this photo was to make it seem like the viewers are dizzy. As you can still see objects and what is going on the image it appears to be spinning as if you were dizzy. I think this is a cool way to display a state of being. I hope my audience will understand as well as feel as if they were dizzy.
This is an image of a child seeing himself as a muscular adult. My goal was to make it seem like a little boy envisioning his future. I really like this one because it is inspiring and I think I did a pretty good job editing. I hope this piece inspires the audience to dream big and never let anything get in the way of their dreams.
This image is one of an owl with a subtle bokeh background. My goal was to create the bokeh effect while also getting a good clear image of the owl in the foreground. I love this picture. The owl is beautiful and has really cool eyes. All of the colors mesh really well and the background really makes the owl pop. I hope the audience just enjoys the image and gets lost in the owl's beautiful eyes.
This is also not a traditional deconstruction piece. This image shows everything needed to create a full face of makeup. My goal was to get a sort of before picture of someone's makeup. I like this picture because I can see the deeper meaning behind it. I hope my audience takes away that lots of things are superficial and some people that you may think are perfect really try to make it seem that way. I hope they can look behind the 15-step makeup routine.
This photo is also an attempt at the bokeh effect. In this image there is a statue of the american sign for “i love you” with warm lights in the background. My goal was again to create the bokeh effect while getting a clear image of the hand in the foreground. I think I could've done a better job with the bokeh effect but I still like the concept. I hope my audience enjoys the image and understands the message of the statue.
This Vic Munez inspired piece is a snowman made of things I found around the kitchen. My goal was to create an image in an image. I wanted to make the snowman look like it was from a dream. I like that this piece has so many parts to it. I like looking deeper behind the full image to see things like the marshmallows or chocolate chips. I hope my audience feels the same way I do about it feeling dreamlike. I want this picture to remind them of childhood.
In this Geometrica photo I have flipped the sky into the ocean and the ocean into the sky. My goal was to make this look geometric while also blending it in well together. This piece amazes me everytime I see it. I love the way it looks and I just think it is beautiful. I hope my audience just enjoyed this image as much as I do. I hope they question what is going on and how this was done and really think about how beautiful the world is.
In this ICM photo you can see a globe spinning quite fast. My goal was to make it look like I took a very long exposure picture of the earth. It would have blends of colors and look like it was moving at a rapid pace. I really like this concept and I think it turned out great. I hope my audience sees just how fast life is going and that they need to slow down and just go one day at a time.
In this Geometrica photo I have flipped the sky and mountains in an attempt to highlight the mountains. My goal was to make it look like there was a hole in the side of the mountain while also trying to put the focus on the snowy slopes. This picture stuns me. From the beautiful colors of the sky to the sharp edges and shapes, it is incredible. I hope the audience can just sit with this picture and marvel at the majesty of those mountains.
In this photo I used the sewing technique to give the illusion that a woman is standing in the rain. My goal was to make it seem like this woman was just enjoying her time in the rain. I like the way this one turned out because it looks like the woman is genuinely happy to be in the rain that really wasn't there. I hope my audience can see her joy in such a little thing and learn to enjoy every moment.
This is a photo of a stick man stuck in the fireplace. My goal was to make it seem like this stick man was alive and trying to escape his impending doom of the fireplace. I really like the idea with this one. I just think it could have been executed better. I hope my audience sees this and feels empowered to make sure they don’t feel trapped or have the courage to escape.
