Following years of careful testing and vetting of fine pitch components and technologies, Daktronics is thrilled to announce the new NPN-4600/6600 series. The dvLED series features flip-chip, wire-bond free COB (chip on board) LEDs to deliver unmatched color accuracy and off-angle viewing while also reducing energy consumption and thermal waste.
After decades of experience in working with and testing coatings and encapsulants to their limits, Daktronics developed a proprietary deep-black surface encapsulant which dramatically elevates contrast, resulting in richer imagery that maximizes performance in ambient conditions. The non-delaminate surface encapsulant also serves as a protective barrier to reduce chances of contact damage during installation, operation or maintenance. Available in a variety of pixel spacings, the LED panels can be assembled to any size or resolution and feature a 16:9 aspect ratio to best complement common broadcast standards.
This new COB product series was developed through Daktronics purpose driven design approach of testing components and product to failure to ensure we offer display solutions which meet our customers, performance, regulatory, budgetary and product support needs.
