St. Peter Lenten Project
For our school almsgiving project for Lent, we will be raising money to donate to Heifer International. This company helps reduce poverty in 19 countries across four continents – such as Ecuador, Guatemala, Haiti, Honduras, India, Kenya, Mexico, and the U.S.
When we donate money to Heifer International, the money goes towards giving a family a better life either through education or nutrition. Our donations can provide an animal to a family in poverty, or we can send a child to school. We can even provide the means for women to open a small business using the resources they have on their farms.
6th & 7th grade students in Mrs. Pazos's and Mrs. Wrights' classes read to Kindergarten - 2nd grade classes for "Book & a Blanket Day" as part of Literacy Week!
