Costa Rica Young Life (Vida Joven) leaders have a rich tradition of loving teenagers in their neighborhoods and schools! Since 1981, the ministry has been growing steadily. Currently over 100 volunteer leaders are reaching 1600 young people with the love of Christ. Young Life leaders are reaching teens from every socioeconomic level, teens with disabilities, teen moms, and university students in San Jose, Alajuela, Heredia, and the Pacific Coast. We believe that everyone who participates in a Young Life expedition - North American and Costa Rican alike - will grow in their faith. We want to grow and serve together with you! Your week will be filled with opportunities to encourage and serve local staff, leaders, teenagers, and their families. Your team will stay and serve alongside local leaders and staff. You might work at El Chante, our Retreat/Training House, or in a local community where Young Life is active. Your work project will have eternal impact, as it will enable our leaders to reach more young people with the love of Jesus! You will also have the opportunity to pray for future campers! Your week will also include opportunities to experience Young Life, Costa Rican culture, and a day of adventure exploring the beauty of Costa Rica.
