Principal Message

It is our first week back and it has been nothing short of amazing! Our students returned with a renewed energy and enthusiasm that is truly heartwarming. The dedication and commitment to learning displayed by each and every one of them is inspiring.

We have had the privilege of witnessing their joy for learning this week and we are confident that this year holds great promise for each student at our school.

We would like to express our gratitude to our exceptional staff who have worked tirelessly to ensure a smooth start to the school year.

Have a wonderful weekend!

Nut Free School

A reminder that our school, and each individual classroom is nut free. We have many student and staff allergies in our school. We appreciate your cooperation in keeping every child and adult safe.

Nut free includes not only peanuts, but tree nuts as well- almonds, brazil nuts, cashews, hazelnuts, macadamia nuts, pine nuts, pistachios and walnuts. Nutella is a popular snack, but contains hazelnuts and thus is dangerous for individuals with nut allergies.

Please ensure that if your child has a nut allergy and requires medication that you see Mrs. Lee in the office to fill out the medical forms.

Thank you for your support!

Healthy Hunger

  • Our first Healthy Hunger date will be Friday, September 19th.
  • Healthy Hunger will be twice a week, on Mondays and Fridays.
  • All parents must register their children in order to take part in ordering hot lunch.
  • To create an account and to register your child, please click HERE.
  • Please note that all lunch orders need to be placed 5 days prior to the scheduled lunch date.

Air Quality Advisories

Please be aware that Air Quality statements can impact school activities and recesses.

Air quality is to be monitored similar to extreme cold temperatures. The suggested guideline is that students do not go outside when air quality reaches an index of 7 or more. Principals are to carefully monitor the air quality in their area when the index reaches levels of 4-6, indicating a moderate risk.

Should air quality reach an index of 7 or higher, recesses, as well as outdoor activities and field trips will be cancelled or moved indoors. This is to ensure that all students remain safe and healthy. For more information, please see ECSD's Health, Safety, Well Being and Weather information.

Air Quality Advisories do have the potential to impact field trips and activities. When at all possible, every attempt will be made to rebook these activities. If rebooking is not possible, we will work hard to arrange alternative activities for students here at the school. If parents have paid for a field trip that was cancelled, they will receive a credit on PowerSchool for the cost.

If fieldtrips do require a cancellation because of Air Quality, teachers will email families no later than 7AM the morning of the fieldtrip.

Powerschool

Families are able to access PowerSchool through the link HERE. If your family is new to PowerSchool, you will need to set up a login and password.

If you are unable to set up your PowerSchool, please contact Mrs. Lee in the office for support.

School Fees

The Supplemental Education Fee for 2025-2026 is $50.00 for Grades 1-6 and $30.00 for Kindergarten. School fees will be posted to PowerSchool accounts on September 15, 2025.

St. Paul will continue to collect additional funds on a strictly cost recovery basis for optional supplemental educational activities in the following categories: Extra-curricular teams/clubs, field trips, activity costs (special activities, residencies) and costs for extraordinary consumables.

The fees offset the cost of mandatory, non-curricular or co-curricular activities and resources that enhance the educational experience. All payments will need to be made online through your PowerSchool account using your credit or debit.

Milk Sales

Milk Club will start on Monday September 22, 2025.

Milk will be available to students on Mondays, Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Fridays at lunch.

In order to participate, students are required to purchase a milk card for $10.00, which will allow them to receive 8-250 ml cartons of chocolate or white milk.

Milk cards can be purchased through PowerSchool on the storefront beginning September 15, 2025.

Or donate to the Terry Fox Foundation using the link HERE.

Student Pick Ups/Drop Offs

When dropping off/picking up students, please use the designated drop off zones. These are 96 Ave (in front of the school) and 145 Street (the west side of the school).

Please DO NOT use the staff parking lot for student drop offs or pick ups. There are a lot of blind spots and staff vehicles, along with Division vehicles, coming in and out of the lot. This creates a very unsafe environment for students to be walking through.

Please choose safety over convenience and use marked cross walks and drop off zones to ensure students arrive safely to and from school.

Thank you for your cooperation!
