We have been blessed by beautiful sunny weather for most of our trip until we reached Biarritz! Unfortunately it didn’t last, so we cannot showcase the beauty of this spectacular town bathed in sunshine. But the weather didn’t seem to dampen the mode of all the French holiday makers as they made the most of their long weekend, topped off with a convincing win (Paris vs Milan) in their football on Saturday night!
We’ve spent the last few days sightseeing, doing a few domestic chores and plenty of relaxation before we were joined by our Camino partners in crime (but I’m sure you’ll get to see more of them as the journey unfolds).
Keen to start off on our Camino with a Sellos for our pilgrims passport we set off in search of a church that would oblige. It took some finding with success at the second church, but not before having to sit through the Sunday Mass. We were however rewarded for our persistence and patience with a worthy stamp administered by the parish priest himself!
It’s not looking too promising on the weather front tomorrow as we begin our first days walk. Hopefully not too wet that we can’t take any photos!
