Goodbye volcanoes, hello electricity! Week 7

This week the children have finally finished their volcanoes topic. They have loved being creative and imagining themselves as real people living near Mount Etna! To celebrate the end of our learning, we created our very own diary entries as tourists, locals, scientists and farmers living beside Mount Etna during an eruption!

As the week went on, we welcomed our new Science topic all about electricity! We found out how electricity works, looked at battery powered and mains powered appliances and even made our own poster about how to stay safe near electricity! This is to help prepare us for next week when we will be building our very own circuit...

We have been playing fun games in Spanish - covering the vocabulary of vegetables that we have learnt so far in Year 4!

Well done to a member in our class who has finished another library book and completed their first book review that is now on our reading wall. We are glad you enjoyed it!

Well done Year 4 for a fantastic week!
