This logo project was to design a logo for Xtreme Latitude. I learned more about composition and practiced making a professional logo. My goal was to create a simple but exciting logo. I feel really good about this design, and I still like it, I just wish the texture on the mountains was a bit more noticeable. I hope the audience gets a feel for outdoor adventure when they see this logo.
This is my snowboard design featuring a fox and a tiger. With this project, I practiced using more features in Adobe Illustrator and experimented with freehand illustrations. My goal with this project was to capture the beauty of these animals and nature in general in a stylistic board design. I still love this design, but if I could redo it I would make it a little cleaner. I hope when my audience sees it, it leads them to think about the beauty of nature.
For this shoe design project, I chose an Autumn aesthetic to capture my favorite season. It features a maple seed on the side because I used to (and still do, when I can find them) love spinning them and watching them fly away in the fall breeze. This project taught me that taking a digital design and making it physically is so satisfying! Specifically, I learned how to use an Xacto knife and put together a 3D piece with rubber cement. I think I could have been a bit more detailed with the design, but it still looks beautiful. I hope the people who see this are reminded of lovely childhood memories in Autumn.
These pieces of artwork were inspired by Messy Mod’s collection of animal artworks done in Adobe Illustrator. This project led to to think more about styles and just how much I can do with Illustrator. My goal was to make a piece that resembled Messy Mod’s style while having my own touches, like the bow tie, top hat, and tie. I love these pieces because to me it is both beautifully stylistic and comedic in their own way. When my audience sees it, I hope they notice the silly little touches and smile.
I created a snowman artwork featuring a melting snowman. With this project, I learned how to use simple features on Adobe Illustrator and was beginning to develop my style on this platform. My goal with this project was to create an illustration that was simple but still conveyed emotion. I think that for my first project, I did pretty well, and I am happy with the results. The only critique I have now is that the color pallet could use some work. With the tear in its eye and the melting snow, I hope the audience can understand the sadness of a snowman melting when the sun comes back.
This was an extra piece of artwork that I did. For a long time I’ve wanted to make stickers, specifically featuring ghosts with all kinds of silly accessories. I’ve experimented with many styles for these creatures that I call Ghosties, and using Adobe Illustrator has taught me more of what I want for them. My goal was to make something cute that could be made into stickers, and I think they turned out well! When people look at them, I hope they feel comfort from the simple art style and cute touches.
