Oxford Nanopore MinION (MK1B and MK1C)
- The Oxford Nanopore MinION is a portable, real-time sequencing device that provides long-read sequencing capabilities.
- Results can be processed while the instrument is still sequencing, reducing the time it takes to get the results.
- Up to 48 Gb data output per MinION Flow Cell / 2.8 Gb per Flongle Flow Cell.
Application: Whole genome/exome sequencing, transcriptomics, metagenomics and targeted sequencing.
Oxford Nanopore PromethION 2 Solo
- PromethION 2 Solo (P2 Solo) is similar to the MinION sequencers but with much larger capabilities.
- The P2 Solo is a high-throughput sequencing platform designed for large-scale genomic projects.
- Two high-output flow cells can run in parallel, delivering up to 580 Gb of data.
Application: This sequencer offers ultra-long reads and high data output, making it ideal for complex genome assemblies, structural variant analysis, and comprehensive transcriptome studies.
NanoString nCounter SPRINT profiler
- Using molecular barcoding technology, NanoString nCounter enables digital examination of multiple RNA and DNA pathways in a single tube in an extraction-free workflow.
- It is able to process small sample volumes, delivering highly reproducible results without the need for amplification.
- This instrument is compatible with difficult sample types, including FFPE tissue.
Application: Gene expression analysis, immune-oncology profiling, gene fusion analysis, copy number variation analysis, miRNA profiling and lncRNA expression analysis.
Illumina MiSeq sequencing system
- MiSeq is a benchtop sequencer with intuitive touch‑screen and load-and-go reagents.
- MiSeq is a short-read sequencer and is ideal for targeted-panel sequencing in cancer.
- The MiSeq provides accurate and reliable data, making it a cornerstone for various genomic applications.
Application: Targeted sequencing, forensic genomics, metagenomics, small genome sequencing, and amplicon sequencing.
Agilent TapeStation 4200
The Agilent TapeStation 4200 is an automated electrophoresis system for analysis of nucleic acids. It provides accurate sizing, quantification, and quality control of DNA and RNA samples.
Application: The TapeStation is essential for ensuring the integrity and quality of samples prior to sequencing and other downstream applications.
Opentrons OT-2 liquid handling system
- The Opentrons OT-2 is a versatile robotic liquid handling system that automates pipetting tasks.
- This is a fully open-source platform with single- and multi-channel pipette facilities.
- It enhances the efficiency and reproducibility of sample preparation, library construction, and other laboratory workflows.
Application: OT-2 can be used to perform library preparation for sequencing, ELISA assays, or pretty much any pipetting that required accurate and/or repetitive dispensing. There are modules that can be added such as PCR machine, magnetic racks and heat blocks.
Qiagen QIAcube Connect
- For fully-automated spin-column-based purification of nucleic acids (DNA and RNA) and proteins.
- This system can process up to 12 samples per run, making it suitable for various laboratory needs.
- The QIAcube Connect is ideal for academic research, pharmaceutical, biotechnology, and biomedical research looking to streamline workflows and improve efficiency.
Application: QIAcube automates samples extraction which supports a wide range of applications, including sequencing, gene expression analysis, genotyping, proteomics, and microbiome research.
