Principal's Message

WELCOME to 2025………

I hope you have had a relaxing break and have enjoyed the beginning of the 2025 school year. It was so great to see so many smiling faces enter the school gates this year. It is a privilege to work in this school community, and we look forward to working with you throughout this year. A warm welcome is extended to all and in particular new families to our school. Last week we welcomed 6 new students across our students 1-6 classes and today we introduced 46 smiling Kindergarten students who begin their exciting Holy Spirit journey with us.

Thank you for ensuring that students are in the correct school uniform and are organised and ready to go for the school year. Please refer to our Uniform Policy if you’re not sure.

I would also like to thank our Staff for their efforts over the last weeks to ensure our homerooms are ready and are warm and inviting places for learning. As we begin our 2025 school year, I would like to take the opportunity to remind parents that our school community works in partnership with families to ensure that children can grow and learn in a caring and nurturing environment. Please feel free to chat with the teaching staff or myself at any time about your child, school issues or ideas you have for our school community.

As said above, open communication and home/school partnerships are pivotal to any successful school environment. I ask you to please take the time to read the documents linked below. The CEDWW’s Working in Partnerships is a great reminder of how and why we need to work in unison to ensure the students of Holy Spirit School thrive. To ensure all communication is effective and consistent please refer to our HSS Communication Procedures.

I very much look forward to working with you all during the year. This year promises to be another outstanding year at Holy Spirit School.

'Get to Know' Sessions

We will be conducting informal meetings on Wednesday 19th February, 1:45pm-6:15pm with your child’s homeroom teacher to further assist the home/school partnership.

Each student would have received a form this afternoon to take home. Please fill out any information (strengths and/or concerns/challenges) that you feel will assist your child’s teacher(s) in meeting his/her needs in 2025. Please return this information to your child’s teacher by Monday 17th Feb.

CEDWW Sports for 2025

All CEDWW Sports for 2025 have been added to the School Calendar. Click here to view the School Calendar. We will notify students when they are selected to represent our school at the respective trials.

Student Leader Commissioning Ceremony

On Monday 17th February at 2:30pm, the Student Leader Commissioning Ceremony will take place where Student Leaders will receive their badges.

1. No Instalment: Tuition Fees are due in full by 28th February 2025
2. Existing Instalment Plan: All existing instalment plans will continue unless an Amendment to existing Instalment Agreement has been submitted here. Instalment commencement: 28th February. Final Payment Due: 6th December 2025

Kinders First Day

Today is the first page of a new book for our Kinder Students who had their first day at school today. They had a wonderful day full of joy, exciting new discoveries and making friends. We look forward to seeing them grow on their school journey.
