Highlights:-

Hello Maple families, Welcome back to toddler Bi-Weekly Scribbles. After spending a few weeks away, the toddlers returned feeling comfortable and secure in their classroom environment. They confidently follow the daily routine and complete their responsibilities. Snack and lunchtime are an opportunity for children to practice independence, patience, and confidence while developing social skills and appropriate table manners. Just a reminder whole grapes and carrots, can be a choking hazard for children under three. Please cut grapes and carrots into halves or quarters to help keep everyone safe.

Practical Life Skill:-

In practical section children are trying to learn how to put winter dress up ( Coat, Hat, Boots, Snow pants ) by themselves, and also practicing with buckle dressing frame, it help them to acquire the skills, they also gain confidence with dressing independently. Children are enjoying snow shoveling work.

Sensorial Area:-

In the sensorial section children are sorting snowflakes from the sensorial bin, matching the snowflakes with the same color of snowflakes. Children are building snowman with using stacker wooden rings, it is really fun for them. They are learning locking and unlocking locks, it help them to be patient as it may take a while for them to find the correct key matching the correct padlock.

Science Area:-

In the science area, children were introduced to polar animals such as Arctic foxes, polar bears, musk oxen, seals, penguins, and narwhals. They learned that these animals live in very cold places and have special features like thick fur and extra fat to help them stay warm. Children are also learning about the solar system and practicing placing the planets in the correct order. These activities help encourage respect for nature and our planet.

Math Area:-

In the math area, children are learning numbers in different ways. They look at numbers in books, count pictures, and match numbers to objects. They also use sandpaper numbers, which help them learn number shapes through touch and prepare them for writing.

Language Area:-

In the language area, children are learning the alphabet in new ways. They identify objects by listening to the beginning sound of words, which helps them become more aware of sounds in their everyday life. Children also enjoy part-to-whole picture activities, which build confidence and encourage imagination.

Art Area:-

In the Art area, children are exploring different materials by using cotton balls and clothespins to stamp on paper. They are creating winter hats and water cycle projects using colored paper pieces. Children are enjoying torn-paper collage and are working to create realistic images.
