2024 Public Report for AzEIP’s Service Providing Agencies

We are pleased to announce the release of the 2024 Public Report for AzEIP’s Service Providing Agencies now available for your review. This report is required by the Individuals with Disabilities Education Act Part C and designed to provide transparency and accountability in the performance of Service Providing Agencies providing services to our State’s infants, toddlers, and their families.

What does the report include?

The 2024 Public Report offers an insightful look into the performance of each Service Providing Agency, comparing their achievements against set targets. It includes several critical measurements, such as:

  • Count of children served
  • The planned locations of services
  • Results of services on child outcomes
  • Impact to family outcomes
  • Percent of Arizona’s population receiving early intervention services
  • Timeliness of evaluations and Individualized Family Service Plans
  • Timeliness of services provided
  • Compliance with transition activities timeframes

Why is this report important?

This interactive report serves as a tool for families, stakeholders, and providers to assess how effectively our Service Providing Agencies are meeting their obligations and delivering outcomes that matter to our State’s infants, toddlers, and their families. By making this information readily accessible, AzEIP is promoting transparency and fostering continuous improvement in government service delivery.

Where can you find the report?

The 2024 Public Report on Service Providing Agencies is available on the report section of the AzEIP website. Alongside this report, you will find a wealth of other valuable information and resources related to early intervention operations and performance metrics.

Take Action!

We encourage all stakeholders, including families, Service Providing Agencies, government officials, and members of the public, to explore the 2024 Public Report. Access the report directly and jump into the detailed insights it offers.

Thank you for your ongoing interest and support in our commitment to transparency and accountability. Together, we can ensure that our system of early intervention continues to strive for excellence in serving the public interest.

AzEIP Meets Requirements 3 Years in Row!

The U.S. Department of Education has issued its 2024 determinations for states on their implementation of the Individuals with Disabilities Education Act (IDEA).

IDEA details four categories for the U.S. Department of Education’s determinations based on State’s Annual Performance Report and State Performance Plan including general compliance, results, and correction of noncompliance. A State’s determination may be:

  • Meets the requirements and purposes of IDEA;
  • Needs assistance in implementing the requirements of IDEA;
  • Needs intervention in implementing the requirements of IDEA; or
  • Needs substantial intervention in implementing the requirements of IDEA.

AzEIP is delighted to report that our State’s early intervention program has continued to Meet Requirements for 3 years in a row! This trend would not be possible without the hard work, dedication, and support of all our Service Providing Agencies in getting to this point. More information on how the U.S. Department of Education made the determination can be found on our website.

Parenting Tips: Did You Know You Can Help Build A Child’s Brain?

The way you interact with a child does help build understanding about the world around them and what to expect. Serve and return interactions are critical for a child’s developing brain. The great news is you can do it anytime, anywhere, without any need for toys or technology. These are the steps:

  • Step 1 - Share the Focus - Pay attention to what your child is interested in.
  • Step 2 - Support and Encourage - Show encouragement to your child's interests.
  • Step 3 - Name it - To make important language connections in a child’s brain.
  • Step 4 - Take Turns Back and Forth - Helps teach self-control and getting along with others.
  • Step 5 - Practice Endings and Beginnings - Observe your child’s signals and share the focus of when your child is ready to end one activity and move on to the next. To learn more watch this
