Clubhouse Attire
Appropriate Clubhouse Attire For Men: Polo-type shirts with sleeves and collar, long-sleeve or short-sleeve button-down shirts, turtlenecks, or mock turtlenecks are appropriate and must be tucked-in. Pants or shorts must be either tailored trousers or Bermuda shorts. Tasteful white denim without holes, rips or frayed hem is permitted. Tennis, paddle, and pickleball attire is permitted in the Clubhouse prior to 5:30 pm; collared shirts are still required. Except as permitted at the pool, appropriate footwear is required on Club property. Unacceptable Attire: T-shirts of any kind, tank tops, hooded items, short- shorts, warm-up pants, blue denim, colored denim, army fatigue printed garments, cargo pants or shorts. At no time are sweatpants or sweatshirts permitted. Undergarments must not be exposed. Golf shoes are not permitted on the main Clubhouse level with the exception of the Golf Shop. Hats and visors must be removed in the Clubhouse, including at the bars
Appropriate Clubhouse Attire for Women: Tailored slacks, shorts, skirts, skorts or capri pants are acceptable. The length of shorts, skirts or dresses must be no shorter than mid-thigh. Tasteful white denim without holes, rips or frayed hem is permitted. Women’s shirts must fall below the beltline of the lower garment. Tennis, paddle, and pickleball attire is permitted in the Clubhouse prior to 5:30 pm. At no time are sweatpants or sweatshirts permitted. Except within the pool area, appropriate footwear is required on Club property. Ladies are permitted to wear dress hats anywhere in the Clubhouse. Unacceptable Attire: Shorts, skirts or dresses of inappropriate length, blue denim, colored denim, army fatigue printed garments, cargo pants or shorts. Hooded items such as sweatshirts or pull-overs. Midriffs and undergarments may not be exposed. Golf shoes are not permitted on the main Clubhouse level with the exception of the Golf Shop. Excluding dress hats, hats and visors must be removed in the Clubhouse, including at the bars.
Golf Attire
Appropriate Golf Attire for Men: Men must wear slacks or Bermuda length shorts that are no shorter than mid-thigh. Only shirts with sleeves and collars are allowed for men. Shirts must be tucked into pants or shorts at all times. Hooded items are permitted as outerwear when weather conditions require. Only spikeless shoes are permitted on the golf courses and practice facilities. Spikeless shoes include softspikes, golf shoes with rubber treads, and sneakers. Golf shoes are not permitted on the main Clubhouse level with the exception of the Golf Shop. Hats and caps must be worn with the bill facing forward. Unacceptable Attire: At no time are jeans, denim or cargo clothing, cut-off shorts, jogging/sweat/warmup or yoga pants, t-shirts/tank tops/mesh shirts/athletic shirts or any undergarment type attire with or without printed slogans, or any army fatigue attire allowed anywhere on the golf courses and practice facilities.
Appropriate Golf Attire for Women: Women must wear slacks, capris, golf shorts, skirts, skorts, culottes or dresses that are no shorter than mid-thigh. Shirts with sleeves and collars are preferred for women; however, women may wear a round neck collarless shirt with sleeves or a shirt with a collar and no sleeves. Shirts must be tucked in. Shirts with finished bottoms that are designed to be left untucked may be worn out. Hooded items are permitted as outerwear when weather conditions require. Only spikeless shoes are permitted on the golf courses and practice facilities. Spikeless shoes include softspikes, golf shoes with rubber treads, and sneakers. Golf shoes are not permitted on the main Clubhouse level with the exception of the Golf Shop. Hats and caps must be worn with the bill facing forward. Unacceptable Attire: At no time are jeans, denim or cargo clothing, cutoff shorts, jogging/sweat/warm-up or yoga pants, T-shirts/tank tops/mesh shirts/athletic shirts or any undergarment type attire with or without printed slogans, strapless tops/halter tops or tube tops, or any army fatigue attire allowed anywhere on the golf courses and practice facilities. No clothing is allowed where the midriff is visible.
Pool Attire
Appropriate Pool Attire: The pool area at Canoe Brook is a family environment and appropriate, modest, and properly fitting swim attire must be worn at all times. Full to moderate seat coverage is required. No cut-offs or gym shorts may be used as a swimsuit. T-Shirts are permitted. Tasteful white denim without holes or rips is permitted. Members and their guests must arrive and leave the pool area in acceptable dress. Cover-ups are required in the parking lot. Children may be dropped off and picked up in their bathing suits only at the entrance to the pool. Hats and caps must be worn with the bill facing forward. Unacceptable Attire: Blue denim, colored denim, army fatigue printed garments, cargo pants or shorts. T-Shirts are permitted; however undershirts and shirts with cut-off sleeves (tank tops) are not permitted for gentlemen and boys. Bathing suits and cover-ups are not permitted in the clubhouse, patio, or any outdoor dining venues.
Performance Center Attire
Appropriate Performance Center Attire: Appropriate exercise attire is expected to be worn in the Performance Center. Golf and tennis attire is permitted for Performance Center warm-up and cool-down; however all training must be performed in appropriate exercise attire. T-shirts are permitted. Shorts or skorts must be no shorter than mid-thigh . Appropriate athletic footwear is required. Hats and caps must be worn with the bill facing forward. Unacceptable Attire: Shirts must be worn in the Performance Center at all times. Undershirts and shirts with cut-off sleeves (tank tops) are not permitted for men. Denim and cargo pants of any kind are not permitted. No clothing is allowed where the midriff is visible. Swimwear, sandals and flip flops are not permitted in the Performance Center.
Racquets Attire
Appropriate Har-Tru Tennis Attire: Players must wear white tennis attire or white attire with color trim only. Colored outerwear is permitted when weather conditions require. Tennis shorts and a collared shirt is required for men; shirts must be tucked in while not playing. Tennis sneakers of any color are the required footwear. Caps must be worn with the bill facing forward. Unacceptable Attire: No solid blocks of color or all over patterns. Running sneakers are prohibited. No halter, crop or strapless camisoles. At no time may undergarment straps or bare midriffs be showing. Sweatpants or gym clothing is not permitted.
Appropriate Hard Court Pickleball & Hard Court Tennis Attire: Athletic attire of any color is permitted. Tennis shorts are required for men; shirts must be tucked-in while not playing; collared shirts are not required but shirts without collars must be athletic material (no t-shirts). Women are permitted to wear clothing of any color that is made specifically for tennis. Tennis sneakers of any color are the required footwear. Caps must be worn with the bill facing forward. Unacceptable Attire: Basketball or cargo shorts are not permitted. No halter, crop or strapless camisoles. At no time may undergarment straps or bare midriffs be showing. Running sneakers are prohibited.
Appropriate Paddle Tennis Attire: Athletic attire of any color is permitted. Tennis sneakers are the required footwear. Unacceptable Attire: Denim in any color is never allowed.
