Dear spiritual family,
As we approach the close of another year, my heart overflows with gratitude and praise for our Heavenly Father, who has guided us to this pivotal moment. Each new season brings with it fresh opportunities, propelling us further into God’s divine purpose for our lives, both individually and as a community.
In our recent sermon series, “Secrets of the Vine,” we have discovered that God desires for us to be fruitful, crafting our lives into vessels of His love—like wine—that can offer positive, godly influence in the world around us. Additionally, through our exploration of “Faith@Work & Life,” rooted in the book of Daniel, we have learned that there is no sacred-secular divide. Every aspect of our lives belongs to God, and we’re called to live out our faith boldly, with integrity and a kingdom vision, trusting Him unwaveringly amid challenges.
As we embrace this truth, remember the words of Jesus: “I have told you these things, so that in me you may have peace. In this world, you will have trouble. But take heart! I have overcome the world” (John 16:33). Let us stand firm in our identity in Christ, determined to “…live a life worthy of the calling you have received.”
In the wise words of Sir Winston Churchill, “Never give in. Never, never, never—in nothing great or small, large or petty—never give in, except to convictions of honour and good sense.” As we move forward together, let’s rise as a kingdom family, unified in our commitment to honor God and make disciples, just as He has instructed us to do (Matt. 28:19-20). With all my love and blessings, Ps. Serge
Our Strategic Focus Areas
"On the third day there was a wedding at Cana in Galilee, and the mother of Jesus was there. Jesus also was invited to the wedding with his disciples. When the wine ran out, the mother of Jesus said to him, “They have no wine.” And Jesus said to her, “Woman, what does this have to do with me? My hour has not yet come.” His mother said to the servants, “Do whatever he tells you.”
John 2:1-5 ESV
Looking Back...
We just completed the Women’s Victory Training at the end of August, with 12 ladies attending. It was truly transformational! We had a wonderful time being established in God’s truths and equipped with tools to stand victorious in life. Below are some testimonies from the ladies sharing their powerful experiences.
In August 2024, I did VT for the second time. 2024 has been a year of major transition and I felt for some time that the Lord had been urging me to seek first God’s kingdom and His righteousness (Matt 6:33). My small step of obedience has opened the floodgates of His gracious faithfulness. The Holy Spirit has revealed to me so many things about my identity and have stripped away all the lies the world and the enemy had told me about who I am and who I’m supposed to be. In my frantic pursuit of trying to figure out God’s purpose for my life, the Lord has shown me that I should slow down, be quiet, and seek Him instead. He’s given me joy in exchange for deep wounds from my past (Psalm 126:5), exchanged my hardened heart for a gentle one, and taken my anxious mind and thoughts and granted me peace that surpasses all understanding (Phil 4:5-7). If you have a desire to deepen your relationship with God, VT is a wonderful place to start. I encourage you to take one step in faith, seeking the Lord, and you will find Him (Deut 4:29). - Jana v Deventer
Victory training was such a great experience. God revealed a lot of things to me from my past that I had forgotten about. I realized that my confidence had moved away from God and as much as I longed for a relationship with Him, He too was longing to have a relationship with me. I had boxed Him, gave Him some parts of my life, while I thought that I could deal with the rest myself. I am hearing Him again, He is guiding me, even with my academic work. With His perfect timing, I received a job offer just a week after the organization I'm working for revealed that there was a funding crisis. I'm so excited to remain connected to my Source, and just soak up in His love and peace. - Refilwe Chulu
Every first Sunday of the month, we go to Vrededorp to worship, pray, and have fellowship with the kids. This is a wonderful opportunity to invest in their lives by showing love and care simply by being there. Each time I return home with a full heart, blessed by their innocence and gratitude for life—it's truly inspiring. Above are a few photos from our last visit on September 1st where we had fun playing volleyball and basketball with them in the park. Everyone is welcome to join us at Vrededorp! Our next visit will be on Sunday, October 6. Hope to see you there! - Pastor Maryna
From September 2nd to 4th, our church gathered for a special Set Apart prayer and fasting time. We kicked off with FAMILY NIGHT, everyone was invited to bring their kids as we prayed for families (both natural and spiritual), and we also prayed for marriages, singles, and relationships in general.
On the second night, we connected online and were blessed to have our guest speaker, Ps. Eric Bapatel, who imparted valuable insights on prayer. Our church leaders also focused on praying for the different mountains of influence in our lives. On Wednesday 4th we concluded our prayer and fasting time with a moving Worship night where we were also joined by Ps Peter Koffee who shared an encouraging and moving word with us. It was a night filled with heartfelt worship as we sought personal breakthroughs through prayer. Thank you to everyone who participated and made this an impactful experience!
We are excited to share that our recent Men's Victory Training was a life-changing experience as always. This training is designed to deepen your relationship with Jesus by equipping you with biblical knowledge and practical tools to identify the lies of Satan and break free from the barriers that hinder your spiritual growth.
Throughout the training, the men explored critical topics including your identity in Christ, overcoming addictions, addressing relational dysfunction, correcting spiritual errors, confronting sexual sins, and breaking generational curses. These discussions opened their eyes to the freedom that God offers them. We look forward to witnessing the great things God will continue to do in their lives and communities. The testimonies from that are a powerful reminder of God's masterful work, and we encourage everyone to share them!
A heartfelt thank you to our dedicated facilitators and the prayer team for their unwavering support and guidance. Together, let us continue to embark on a journey of healing and victory in Christ!
